"My first rule: no school or career will ever win in a battle against my marriage, children or health"

As a parent going through PA school this was my guiding motto -  but the system was not designed for students to thrive. So I needed to create a study model that would allow me to be present for my family. 

Thus the "PA Guide" was born (started as duct tape journals, now is so much more!)

I want PA school to be sustainable for you. I want you to be set up for success. 

I want to get away from unhelpful cliches such as: 

"it's like drinking from a firehose"

PA Students don't need cliches and platitudes. I believe they need a map and a guide to get through a very challenging journey. 

Otherwise, we are sending PAs into the workforce who are already burned out, bitter and unprepared for what awaits them. Do we really need more burnt out clinicians? 

I want to fix this.
